Background and Experience

I'v'e been building search-engine-friendly web sites since 1995. I "hung out my shingle" as a sole proprietor in 1999. In the past 8 years I've built, rebuilt, and optimized nearly 100 web sites.

Over the years, all the sites I built myself incorporated best practices for site construction and included essential SEO elements.

My background in building sites has been invaluable for becoming an SEO expert. It taught me what the search engines favor and what makes them gag. I can now work easily with any site owner, web designer or webmaster to collaborate on recommendations and changes, because I understand the technical background of how the sites are built.

A 20-year prior background working within businesses (mostly manufacturing) included customer relations, international sales, and product marketing. This gives me a firm grounding for understanding the marketing needs of virtually any business, no matter what the advertising media. A college background in psychology allows me to study and understand what online consumers want - and how to translate that into your site.

In 2005, concentration on SEO and related internet marketing began to take up much more of my time. Business owners were beginning to realize that the web was no longer a "do it yourself" field, at least, not if you wanted to beat out the thousands of sites competing with you online.

In 2005 I started working with clients specifically for SEO-SEM-Internet Marketing. By the end of 2006, I was ready to officially transition my business and devote 100% of my expertise to this field.
